Many thanks to @equinox and @tesla! Riding in style today! (at In an Uber)
Today, I ran the Brooklyn Half Marathon!
Great time, great event and some good pics to share with you!
Finished in just over 2:05 with no injuries or pain… I’ll take it. Any day of the week!
And there’s nothing like being on home turf. From Flatbush Ave. to running past the Parade Grounds and then trotting down Ocean Parkway.
Looking forward to a summer of consistent pain free running!
“Don’t wait for it to happen, make it happen.” — Dovlett Quince
Today, I was invited to an event at Chelsea Piers Sports Center, sponsored by Dr. Scholl’s Active Insoles. And by event, I mean personal training session hosted by Dolvett Quince, the brand’s current spokesperson as well as a trainer on NBC’s The Biggest Loser.
The session was led by Dolvett, lasted about 20 minutes and was awesome, and I learned a routine that I can do to hit every body part in future workouts sans Dolvett:
“To work out I do ten and ten, which alternates 10 minutes of cardio and 10 minutes of floor work back and forth. I alternate what I do for floor work to confuse the body; some days I will isolate certain body parts and work on those, and other days I will do combination movements.”
The workout was great, but chatting with Dolvett after the workout was also awesome. He was a down to earth guy that seemed educated and poised when speaking about the brand, aligned well with the brand’s mission and obviously, he was super knowledgable as a trainer.
Some key takeaways:
The Dr. Scholl’s Active Insoles sound great… Would love to hear about experiences of those who’ve tested them out!
